Project Details

Working with departments across regional engagement to synchronise messaging external and internal. 

Newsletters included three main audience groups: Communities, Dementia Friends and Ambassadors. Content, design and copywriting was aligned with events, volunteer stories and any interviews I had conducted.

Dementia Friends pledge cards became a staple post which was often from our ‘little friends’ who pledged to help people with Dementia using their new knowledge as a Dementia Friend.

Community management was undertaken daily across all channels and often advice, services and product retrieval was necessary to support our audience.

Alzheimer’s Society values were also at the core of our messaging, this consistent social and political standing was paramount to ensuring we established ourselves as trusted experts in the field.

Things I did

  • Liaising with the wider Alzheimer’s Society Social Team
  •  Editors board for the Dementia Now Magazine
  •  Brand officer ensuring third party compliance with guidelines
  •  Daily community management of social channels and emails
  • Conducting interviews with supports to share personal stories
  • Creation of bi-weekly emails for current and prospective dementia friends
  • Retrieving background data via salesforce upon request
  • Updating the reporting systems in place and delivering them to the Dementia Friends team
  • Dementia Friends Staff Deliverer and safeguarding training
